Flawlessly Smooth Walls, Built to Last

Devki Projects provides comprehensive plastering services across Mumbai for new construction, renovation and repair projects. Our skilled plasterers work with a range of plastering systems — from traditional sand-cement plaster to single-coat gypsum plaster — to deliver walls and ceilings that are smooth, even, crack-free and ready for any finish.

Good plastering is the foundation of a quality finish. We take care with surface preparation, correct mix ratios, proper thickness and adequate curing to ensure your walls stay smooth and blemish-free for years — without cracking, hollowness or uneven surfaces that cause problems down the line.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions clients ask about our plastering services.

What is the difference between sand-cement plaster and gypsum plaster?

Sand-cement plaster is the traditional two-coat system — suitable for both internal and external surfaces and is stronger and more moisture-resistant. Gypsum plaster is a single-coat internal-only system that sets faster, shrinks less and gives a very smooth finish with minimal curing. We will advise the right system based on your project requirements.

How long does plastering take to dry before painting can start?

Sand-cement plaster typically requires 21-28 days of curing and drying before painting to allow all moisture to escape and prevent paint peeling. Gypsum plaster can be painted sooner — usually within 7-10 days. We will advise on the correct drying time for your specific project.

Why does plaster crack and how do you prevent it?

Cracking is usually caused by incorrect mix ratios, excessive thickness applied in one coat, inadequate curing or poor surface bonding. We prevent cracking by using correct ratios, applying in proper layers, setting screeds correctly and ensuring adequate water curing after application.

Can you repair existing cracked or hollow plaster without replastering the entire wall?

Yes. We carry out patch repairs of localised cracked or hollow plaster areas. However, if a large portion of the wall is hollow or delaminated, we will recommend full replastering for a better long-term result — and explain clearly why before proceeding.

Do you also plaster bathroom and wet area walls?

Yes. For wet areas such as bathrooms, wet kitchens and water tanks, we use waterproof integral compound added to the plaster mix to provide additional moisture resistance before tiling or waterproofing treatments are applied.
